Westgate River Ranch Activities Program

Whether you are young, or young at heart, the activities program at Westgate River Ranch offers an abundance of scheduled activities, special events and supervised programs for guests of all ages. Americom Championship Rodeo
Cowpokes and bronco busters descend upon Westgate River Ranch every Saturday night at 7:30 PM for an evening of fun for the whole family that includes trick riding, bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, rodeo clown antics and a patriotic tribute to our armed forces. In addition, kids get the opportunity to participate in a real “calf scramble.” Don’t miss it!

Golf Course
The nine-hole regulation golf course is open to resort guests and the general public from 8 AM to 4 PM daily (weather permitting). Daily rates include access to our driving range and putting green. Golf balls, concessions and club rentals are available at our Golf Pro Shop.

Hayrides
Experience an old-fashioned, tractor-pulled Hayride that takes you into the beautiful, 7,000-acre KICCO Wildlife Management Area, which runs along the Kissimmee River. View wildlife as you are entertained by the talents of a singing cowboy!

Horseback Riding
Enjoy a horseback riding adventure along the many bridle trails that wind through Westgate River Ranch. The stables lie adjacent to a Petting Farm with ponies, horses, goats, pot-bellied pigs, llamas, emus and peacocks. Pony rides are also available.

Horseback Riding Lessons
Horseback riding lessons are now available for all ages at Westgate River Ranch. Beginners will learn basic horseback riding skills, as well as horsemanship skills such as grooming, tacking and safety. One-hour lessons are available weekends and weekdays for beginner and advanced riders. Private lessons cost $65 per person per hour and group lessons cost $50 per person per hour. Advanced reservations are required by calling (863) 692-1321, ext. 40015.

Advance Rider Trail Rides
Advance Rider Trail Rides are available for more experienced riders who are seeking a more challenging adventure. Riders are able to walk, cantor and trot while enjoying the beauty of 1,700-acre Westgate River Ranch. Each rider must pass a riding review before hitting the trail. All ages are welcome. Cost for the two-hour ride is $90 per person. Advanced reservations are required by calling (863) 692-1321, ext. 40015.

Marina
Airboat Rides
View wildlife such as bald eagles, deer, alligators and snail kites during an amazing one-hour airboat ride on the beautiful Kissimmee River. Extended airboat rides are available upon request.

Boat Rentals
Available for use on the Kissimmee River are 20-foot pontoon boats, which can be rented by the hour up to 6 hours at one time and hold a maximum of eight passengers; 15-foot Jon Boats, which can be rented by the hour up to 6 hours at one time and hold a maximum of three passengers; and canoe rentals by the hour.

Fishing
Cast a line in the water of the Kissimmee River or venture to nearby Lake Okeechobee. Fishing at Westgate River Ranch is a great way to relax, whether you cast a line from the marina or rent a boat. Fishing licenses are available via phone from the marina, which also boasts a bait and tackle shop. Fishing excursions are available with advance reservations. A catch and release pond is also located on the premises.

Swamp Buggy Rides
Take a thrilling, one-hour ride on a swamp buggy through Westgate River Ranch’s wood trail and view wildlife in its natural setting.

Miniature Golf Course
A fun and challenging 18-hole putt-putt golf course winds through shady trees behind the General Store.

Outdoor Pool
After a fun-filled day spent exploring activities at Westgate River Ranch, relax at the heated outdoor pool and hot tub.

Trap & Skeet Range
If you’re looking for some target practice, head down to the Trap & Skeet Range at Westgate River Ranch and test your skill. An archery range is also on the premises.

Video Arcade
Adjacent to the Western Store, the Video Arcade at Westgate River Ranch provides fun for all ages! Enjoy a game of air hockey or challenge your kids to classic video games at the Video Arcade.
